Invacare has had a very long history, but current Invacare started in the late 1970’s when Mal Mixon purchased the company from Johnson & Johnson. Although he walked into quite an uphill battle, Mixon was able to turn the company into the dominant global leader in home medical products. Invacare does business in more the 80 countries and maintains the largest distribution for the home medical product industry.
Invacare is headquartered in Elyria, Ohio, and has manufacturing plants throughout the world including the United States, Australia, Canada, United Kingdom and many more.
Invacare’s product line totals in the hundreds and ranges from manual wheelchairs to electric wheelchairs to high-performance sport chairs to home care beds to nubulizer compressors and respiratory disposables to portable oxygen systems to even diabetic and skin care products, and there’s many more…
Invacare also introduced, over 15 years ago, their Invacare Credit Corporation to help assist with your third party purchase of your Invacare home medical equipment.
