First Ever International Wheelchair Tennis Open Tournament

US$ 2000 prize money is on offer at the first ever International Wheelchair Tennis Open Tournament scheduled to be held from July 16 to 18 at the SSC clay courts in Maitland Place. This tournament is one of the significant wheelchair tennis tournaments in the NEC series of ITF calendar.

Already players from Malaysia and India have confirmed of their participation and more top ranked players from around the world are expected to enter.

Sri Lanka’s top ranked player in Upali Rajakaruna along with D.M. Gamini will be among those to participate. Rajakaruna is currently ranked at 137 in the world and is practicing hard to bring honour to his home land.
